Opton RF-WDM55-A-D is an active CATV converter designed for PON networks. It can be used in both EPON and GPON technology. It has two SC / APC connectors, one connects the signal from OLT / EDFA, and the other ONU / ONT terminal. There is a passthrough between the ports, which bridges the signal transmitted through the 1310 and 1490 nm channels (i.e. those used by the OLT terminal). The device itself operates at a wavelength of 1550 nm and converts the fiber optic signal to RF (antenna).

The offered product allows the subscriber to be connected to CATV without the need to use an ONT terminal with an RF connector. This is very useful, for example, in a situation where the client already has a regular terminal and decides to extend the contract. You do not need to install a new terminal then, just use the RF-WDM55-SA-D converter. The product has two antenna connectors, so your customer can connect more than one device.

The device at the RF output transmits a signal with a large range: 47 - 862 MHz. It has a metal casing, thanks to which it is protected against the influence of external interference from, for example, mobile phones. The output power (level) is 97 dBµV in total (Pin -3 dBm). The range of received optical power is 2 ~ -10 dBm.
