The Opton Signal Fire AI-30 is a fiber optic splicer designed for splicing Singlemode, Multimode, DSF, NZ-DSF, and BIF optical fibers. It supports core alignment and uses 6 motors for precise fiber positioning. The set includes universal holders that can be used for splicing pigtails, drop cables, and bare fibers. The manufacturer implemented an automatic oven that, once the cover is closed, immediately begins the heat-shrinking process. The splicing time is approximately 6 seconds, and the heat-shrinking time is 15 seconds, giving a total cycle time of 21 seconds. The splicer features a 5" color display and offers 320x image magnification. Basic operations are performed using physical buttons located below the display, while more advanced functions are accessible through a mobile device application.
The offered product includes an integrated fiber optic cutter. This allows you to immediately place the fiber into the holder with a short movement after cutting. Additional features include a built-in optical power meter and a visual fault locator. The power meter measures transmitted power over a given segment and supports wavelength measurements of 850, 1300, 1310, 1490, 1550, and 1625 nm. The visual fault locator allows you to inspect fiber damage over a short segment (15 mW power). The set also includes essential accessories: a 7800 mAh battery with charger, extra electrodes, an advanced stripper, a brush, and an alcohol dispenser. Everything is housed in a convenient case, to which you can optionally attach a strap.
Fiber Optic Splicer, 320x Magnification, Core Alignment
The offered product is designed for splicing optical fibers using an electric arc method and is compatible with Singlemode, Multimode, DSF, NZ-DSF, and BIF fibers. It provides core alignment, with positioning handled by 6 motors, achieving a positioning accuracy of 0.05 μm. The device offers 320x image magnification when displaying either the X or Y axis, and 200x magnification when displaying both axes simultaneously.


Splicing Time 6 s, Heat-Shrinking Time 15 s
The splicing time is approximately 6 seconds, and the heat-shrinking time of the protective sleeve is 16 seconds. This gives a total cycle time of around 22 seconds, which is an excellent result, fully sufficient for most tasks. The oven operates automatically—once the splice is placed inside and the cover is closed, it begins working without the need to press any buttons.
Built-in Automatic Cleaver
The splicer’s body includes a built-in cleaver for cutting optical fibers. It operates fully automatically: pressing down the cover performs the cut, and opening the cover returns the cleaver to its starting position. The integrated cleaver significantly increases user convenience, allowing you to immediately place the prepared and cut fiber into the holder, which is located within close reach.


5" Color Display, Easy Operation
The splicer features a 5" TFT color display. Basic functions are operated using physical buttons located just below the screen. Advanced functions and configuration are accessible only through a mobile application for Android/iOS devices. Thanks to the large physical buttons, starting the splicing mode is quick and easy, even while wearing work gloves.
Universal Holders
The device comes with universal holders that can be used for splicing bare fibers of various sizes and diameters, pigtails, and drop cables. Additionally, the set includes a holder that allows splicing SOC-type connectors.


Built-in Optical Power Meter and Visual Fault Locator
The AI-30 features a built-in optical power meter and a visual fault locator. The connectors are located on the side of the housing, in an easily accessible position. The power meter supports wavelengths of 850, 1300, 1310, 1490, 1550, and 1625 nm, enabling basic diagnostics after splicing. The visual fault locator has a power of 15 mW and allows you to check fiber continuity over a short distance.
7800 mAh Battery
The set includes a 7800 mAh lithium-ion battery, which, according to the manufacturer, is sufficient for approximately 340 splicing and heat-shrinking cycles. The full charging time is a maximum of 3.5 hours. The battery features a built-in DC port, allowing it to be charged outside the device. The splicer also has its own independent DC port.
