The Opton 10G-SM-WDM27-S05 is an optical transceiver designed for use with single-mode fiber. It features one SC/UPC connector and utilizes only a single fiber for transmission (WDM). The connection is established using two wavelengths: the transceiver transmits (Tx) at 1270 nm and receives (Rx) at 1330 nm. To establish a transmission, a complementary module with Tx at 1330 nm and Rx at 1270 nm is required on the other end (you can find it among the related products listed below the specifications). The offered product is an SFP+ module with a maximum supported data rate of 10 Gbps. The transmitter power range is -8.2 to 0.5 dBm, the receiver sensitivity is -14.4 dBm, and the maximum range is 5 km. The transceiver is originally programmed for Cisco and should be compatible with all devices that do not block third-party modules (D-Link, TP-Link, Planet, MikroTik, and others). Upon request, we can program optical modules to work with solutions from other manufacturers.
SFP+ Transceiver
This device is a fiber optic transceiver of the SFP+ type, supporting data rates of up to 10 Gbps. This standard is widely used among many products available on the market. It enables speeds ten times higher than an SFP module or a standard 1G Ethernet port. It is an excellent choice for connecting two locations or for transmitting data between network devices, such as between two switches or between a router and a switch.

Singlemode Fiber, Range up to 5 km
The offered product is compatible with fiber optic cables equipped with singlemode fiber. This allows for long-distance data transmission.
The 10G-SM-WDM33-S05 transceiver features an optical output power of -8.5 to 0.5 dBm and a receiver sensitivity of up to -14.4 dBm. The maximum connection range is 5 km. The module is primarily suited for indoor connections, but it can also be successfully used over longer distances.
SC/UPC Connector
The transceiver uses a standard SC/UPC-type connector.

WDM (BIDI) Transceiver
The transceiver transmits data using a single optical fiber by utilizing two different channels (Tx at 1330 nm, Rx at 1270 nm). This is especially useful in locations where fiber availability is limited or when leasing fiber.
It's important to note that to establish a complete transmission link, a second transceiver is required—one that transmits at 1270 nm and receives at 1330 nm. The appropriate module can be found in the "Related Products" section.
Wide Compatibility
Opton SFP+ modules are factory-programmed for Cisco but can operate with devices from all manufacturers that do not restrict third-party transceivers. These include, for example: MikroTik, Ubiquiti, TP-Link, D-Link, and Planet.
For systems where the manufacturer enforces restrictions on third-party modules (e.g., HP, Extreme Networks, Aruba), it is possible to have the SFP+ module programmed by our service department. If you have any doubts before purchasing, feel free to contact us.
