MikroTiks newest out-of-the-box solution for LoRa® technology. Like the previous wAP LR kits, it contains a pre-installed UDP packet forwarder to any public or private LoRa® servers and an outdoor weatherproof wireless access point with 2.4 GHz WLAN interface and Ethernet port with PoE-in that could be used as a backend.
Here’s the difference: this device works with the 2.4 GHz frequency for LoRa® as well. That means significantly higher bandwidth, higher data rate, and less air time. And because of the Chirp modulation technology, it doesn’t interfere with the 2.4 GHz WLAN signal! A perfect solution for industrial setups with a high density of sensors.
There is a built-in 2 dBi WLAN / 4.7 dBi LoRa® antenna, but you can add an external antenna for extra coverage. We suggest using the TOF-2400-8V-4 Omni antenna for best results.

LoRa 2 module
wAP LR2 kit is equipped with the LoRa 2 module, thanks to which it can work as a LoRaWAN gateway / gateway. The module works in the 2.4 GHz band, thus it has a higher bandwidth than 800 / 900 MHz solutions. It is able to handle more sensors and will be perfect where low bandwidth limited the possibility of further network expansion. The device uses 4 Rx channels and 1 Tx channel, Chirp modulation is used, which eliminates interference from the LoRa network with Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz transmission. more profit.
Wi-Fi N300 transmission
The device has the RouterOS Level 4 system, it can transmit a Wi-Fi wireless network in the 2.4 GHz band. It uses 2x2 MIMO and IEEE 802.11 b/g/n protocols, the maximum theoretical throughput is 300 Mb/s. Inside the housing there is an integrated omnidirectional antenna with a gain of 2 dBi.
Fast Ethernet port, 3 power inputs
The offered product has 1 fast Ethernet port (10/100 Mbps), which also serves as a PoE power input. It supports passive PoE, the input voltage range is 9 - 30 V DC. In addition, you can use the standard DC socket and automotive input. The maximum power consumption is only 8 W, the set includes a 24 V / 0.8 A power supply and a PoE injector.
Ingress protection IP54, various mounting methods
MikroTik wAP LR2 kit has a housing adapted to be mounted outside the building, it is characterized by the degree of protection IP54. It will also be perfect in conditions of higher dustiness, in various types of halls, warehouses, attics or elevator shafts. In the set you will find pegs for wall mounting, a metal clamp for pole mounting and a stand that will allow you to put it on a desk / shelf.
