Ubiquiti USL-Motion is a wireless motion sensor designed to operate within the UniFi Protect system. It uses SuperLink wireless communication in the 865.1–869.5 MHz frequency band, with a maximum transmission range of up to 2 km according to the manufacturer (when maintaining line of sight). For communication, it connects via a SuperLink Gateway. Motion detection is handled by PIR sensors, with a detection range of 1.5 m horizontally and 6 m vertically. The device is powered by a CR123A battery, with a battery life of up to 6 years. The battery can be replaced by the user when it is depleted. The USL-Motion is designed for wall mounting, and can be installed using either two screws or adhesive tape.

PIR Motion Sensor

SuperLink Communication

The sensor supports SuperLink wireless communication, with a transmission range of up to 2 km according to the manufacturer (with full line of sight). This makes installation very simple and eliminates the need for wiring.

CR123A Battery

Power is supplied by a CR123A battery, with a battery life of up to 6 years. Once depleted, the battery can be replaced by the user.

Wall Mounting and Tamper Detection

The USL-Motion is designed for wall mounting using standard screws or adhesive tape. The device is equipped with a sensor that detects opening or removal from its mount; when tampering is detected, an alarm is triggered.
