Ubiquiti U6-Mesh is an access point adapted to the UniFi system. It can transmit a wireless network in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously, supports the Wi-Fi 6 standard, supports the IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax protocols in 2.4 GHz and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax in 5 GHz . The maximum theoretical throughput is 574 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz and 4800 Mb/s in 5 GHz. The UniFi system will allow you to create one, unified network consisting of many access points. Such a network is able to cover very large areas, and its management is quick and convenient, you have access to each of the devices from one interface. The U6-Mesh uses a gigabit Ethernet port, which also serves as a PoE input. The set includes a compatible PoE 48 V / 0.32 A power supply.
The U6-Mesh housing has been adapted to be used outdoors, and has an IPX5 ingress protection. You can mount the access point on a wall or on a pole using the holder included in the kit. You can also use the stand to place the U6-Mesh on a desk or shelf.
UniFi Network
The offered product works under the control of UniFi software. UniFi enables centralized management of multiple devices from one application. It was designed mainly for building a network of hotspots consisting of access points, but also supports monitoring systems - the "Protect" series. With UniFi, you can build in a large network and then control it from one system. Thanks to this, every change of configuration, hotspot settings or firmware update is instant. The UniFi application is completely free, you can download it to your computer or as an application for mobile devices.
Wireless network Wi-Fi AX5400
The device can transmit a Wi-Fi wireless network in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously. It supports the Wi-Fi 6 standard - IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax protocols at 2.4 GHz and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax at 5 GHz. The maximum theoretical throughput of such transmission is 5400 Mb/s - 574 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz and 4800 Mb/s in 5 GHz. U6-Mesh is equipped with built-in omnidirectional antennas, supports 2x2 MIMO at 2.4 GHz and 4x4 MIMO at 5 GHz. The energy gain is 3 and 5 dBi, respectively.
Gigabit Ethernet, PoE Input
U6-Mesh is equipped with a gigabit Ethernet port (10/100/1000 Mb/s), which also serves as a PoE input. The supported input voltage range is 44 - 57 V DC, the maximum power consumption is only 11.4 W. The port is located in the lower part of the housing, in the place where the handle is mounted.
For outdoor purpose
The housing has been adapted for outdoor installation and has a IPX5 ingress protection level. Thanks to the possibility of pole and wall mounting, it is perfect for extending the wireless network outside the room, e.g. in a restaurant or hotel. On the other hand, thanks to its resistance to negative weather conditions, U6-Mesh will also work in difficult places, such as attics or utility rooms.
Wall / pole mounting
Using the included holder, you can mount the device on a wall or a pole. In the box you will find appropriate wall plugs and cable ties. The holder can also be used as a stand that will allow you to place the U6-Mesh on a desk or shelf. When purchasing an optional accessory (see accessories / related products), it is also possible to mount it in a suspended ceiling.
