The Ubiquiti UniFi 5G Max Outdoor is a wireless device that combines a 5G modem with an integrated antenna system. It is fully designed for use within the UniFi ecosystem and delivers maximum theoretical mobile data rates of up to 3.4 Gb/s (NSA) or 1.8 Gb/s (SA) for downloads, and up to 560 Mb/s (NSA) or 650 Mb/s (SA) for uploads. The enclosure is fully designed for outdoor deployment and features an IP67 protection rating. Inside, the device is equipped with six integrated antennas, including two directional antennas with a gain of 9 dBi. The U5G-Max-Outdoor provides excellent signal coverage and can be successfully deployed in locations where less capable solutions are unable to establish a stable connection. The device features a 2.5G Ethernet port, which also serves as a PoE (802.3af) power input. This allows connection speeds exceeding 1 Gb/s, enabling you to take full advantage of 5G network performance. The offered product is an excellent choice for locations where traditional wired Internet services are unavailable. In larger networks, it can also be used as a backup WAN connection to ensure network availability in the event of a primary link failure.
5G Connectivity, UniFi Integration
The offered product features an integrated modem supporting 5G mobile connectivity. The maximum theoretical data rates are up to 3.4 Gb/s (NSA) or 1.8 Gb/s (SA) for downloads, and up to 560 Mb/s (NSA) or 650 Mb/s (SA) for uploads. Please note that actual throughput depends on factors such as base station load and signal quality, so real-world performance may vary significantly depending on the installation location. The U5G Max Outdoor is also backward compatible with 4G LTE and 3G networks.
The device is designed exclusively for use within the UniFi ecosystem and does not support standalone operation. It must be adopted and managed through the UniFi Controller.

High-Gain Integrated Antennas
The U5G-Max-Outdoor is equipped with six integrated antennas for mobile data transmission. Two of them, dedicated to downlink reception, feature a high antenna gain of 9 dBi and a directional radiation pattern of 85° × 85°. When properly aligned with the serving base station, the U5G-Max-Outdoor provides excellent signal coverage and reliable mobile connectivity.
Nano SIM and eSIM Support
The device features two nano SIM slots and also supports eSIM. When using an eSIM, the second nano SIM slot cannot be used. By installing SIM cards from two different mobile operators, you can improve connection reliability and protect against network outages or congestion affecting a single carrier. The manufacturer recommends using physical SIM cards whenever possible.

Designed for Outdoor Use
The enclosure is fully designed for outdoor deployment. When properly installed and used with the included cable gland, it provides an IP67 protection rating. The package includes mounting accessories for installation on either a wall or a pole.
2.5G Ethernet Port, PoE Power Supply
The manufacturer has equipped the device with a 2.5G Ethernet port, allowing you to fully utilize the bandwidth offered by 5G connectivity. The port also serves as the PoE power input (802.3af) — power cannot be supplied in any other way. The maximum power consumption is 14.5 W.
