The Ubiquiti AI Key is an add-on device that enhances your UniFi Protect deployment with advanced AI-powered features. Its primary advantage is the ability to search surveillance recordings using natural language queries, such as "man with a red backpack." The system analyzes AI Key detections and returns all matching video recordings. In addition, the AI Key enables facial recognition and license plate recognition (LPR) for cameras that do not natively support these capabilities. It is compatible with UniFi G4, G5, G6, and AI Series cameras. Ubiquiti does not impose a limit on the number of supported cameras. However, the AI Key can process up to 1,800 intelligent detections per hour. The device features a compact desktop enclosure and is equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet port, which also serves as the PoE++ power input.

When connected to a UniFi Protect system, the AI Key enables text-based event search, allowing you to quickly locate recordings using simple natural language queries. For example, entering a phrase such as "man with a red backpack" will return all events in which a matching person or object was detected. The AI Key supports an unlimited number of cameras. However, it can process up to 1,800 AI-powered detections per hour.

Adds Advanced AI Features to G4/G5 Cameras

By deploying the AI Key, your UniFi G4 and G5 Series cameras gain access to advanced AI features, including facial recognition and license plate recognition (LPR). This allows you to take full advantage of UniFi Protect's intelligent capabilities without having to replace your existing cameras with newer models.

1G Ethernet Port with PoE++ Power Input

The device is equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet port, which also serves as the PoE++ power input compliant with the IEEE 802.3bt Type 3 standard. The maximum power consumption is 45 W.

Touchscreen Display and Desktop Form Factor

The device features an aluminum desktop enclosure designed for tabletop installation. Optionally, you can purchase a rack-mount bracket or a desktop stand to suit your deployment requirements. On the front panel, there is a 1.3-inch touchscreen display that shows the device's operating status and provides quick access to key system information.
