Ubiquiti UNVR-Instant-Kit is a UniFi Protect starter kit. It includes an IP recorder (UNVR Instant), 4 cameras with a resolution of 4 Mpix (2K) – G5 Turret Ultra, and a 1 TB hard drive. The cameras can be installed outdoors (IP66 protection rating), which makes the kit ideal for homes and small offices, assuming you want to mount one device on each external wall. The recorder has 6 ports with PoE power output (802.3af), with a power budget of 40 W, which allows connection of up to 6 G5 Turret Ultra cameras in total. By purchasing the UNVR-Instant-Kit, you receive a complete set that does not require any additional mounts or power supplies. It is enough to connect the system to a device that provides IP addressing, for example, a router.

UniFi Protect monitoring kit

The offered product is a kit intended for creating a monitoring system based on UniFi Protect. It enables the use of live view and playback of recorded footage using the UniFi Protect console or a dedicated application, and it can be easily unified with other systems, for example access points. The kit includes 4 cameras, a recorder with a built-in PoE switch, and a hard drive with a capacity of 1 TB. It is an excellent starter kit which, in many cases, is completely sufficient, for example assuming installation on each wall of a building with a shape close to a rectangle.

UNVR Instant recorder

The recorder included in the kit is able to support up to 6 4K cameras, 8 2K cameras, or 15 HD cameras, so if needed you can add four additional G5 Turret Ultra cameras. It has 1 slot for a hard drive; the kit includes a drive with a capacity of 1 TB. The UNVR Instant is equipped with 7 1G Ethernet ports, one of which serves as an uplink port, while the others provide PoE power output (802.3af). Thanks to this, in smaller monitoring systems (up to 6 cameras) you are not forced to use an additional switch; the recorder alone is sufficient.

4 G5 Turret Ultra cameras (2K)

The kit includes four G5 Turret Ultra cameras that support 2K (4 Mpix) resolution, providing quality that is fully sufficient in most cases. The field of view is 102.4° horizontally and 54.9° vertically (120.6° diagonally). The device supports black-and-white night mode, has built-in IR LEDs and an IR cut filter. The housing is fully adapted for outdoor use, with an IP66 protection rating. Power is supplied in a standard way via PoE (802.3af), and the maximum power consumption is only 4 W. The camera has a dome housing, and the accessories included in the kit allow it to be mounted on a wall or a pole.

1 TB drive (HDD)

The last component of the kit is a hard disk drive (HDD) with a capacity of 1 TB. Thanks to it, you will be able to record (save) footage from individual cameras and later play it back if needed. The drive is fully compatible with the UNVR Instant recorder.
