Ubiquiti U7 In-Wall is an access point designed to work within the UniFi system. It supports the Wi-Fi 7 standard, including IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax/be protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax/be in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 688 Mb/s for 2.4 GHz and 4300 Mb/s for 5 GHz. The device features a total of 4 MIMO streams, two for each band, and can handle up to 200 clients simultaneously. The enclosure is designed for wall mounting, primarily on an electrical box, similar to other solutions in the IW series. You can mount the access point directly on the wall, but it requires a sufficiently large opening to accommodate the rear-facing port. The U7 In-Wall includes a total of three 2.5G Ethernet ports. One is located on the back, serves as a WAN port, and supports PoE / PoE+ (802.3af/at) power input. The lower right port features a PoE power output, which requires a PoE+ power supply to be delivered to the device for proper functionality.

UniFi Wi-Fi 7 BE5000 Access Point
The access point is designed to operate under the UniFi system and cannot function independently. It supports Wi-Fi 7 wireless networking in two frequency bands, utilizing IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax/be protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax/be in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical throughput is 688 Mb/s for 2.4 GHz and 4300 Mb/s for 5 GHz.
The device supports a total of 4 MIMO streams, two per band, allowing it to connect up to 200 users simultaneously.
Integrated 4 / 8 dBi Antennas
Inside the enclosure, there are integrated omnidirectional antennas with a gain of 4 dBi in the 2.4 GHz band and 8 dBi in the 5 GHz band. The maximum transmission power is 23 dBm for 2.4 GHz and 24 dBm for 5 GHz. According to the manufacturer, the theoretical coverage area is approximately 115 m².


3× 2.5G Ethernet Ports, PoE Power Supply
The U7 In-Wall features a total of three 2.5G Ethernet ports. One is located at the back of the enclosure and serves as both the main network connection and the PoE / PoE+ (802.3af/at) power input. The other two ports are positioned at the bottom of the device. The right-bottom port also includes a PoE power output, which requires PoE+ (802.3at) power input to function. With these additional ports, there is no need to install extra Ethernet outlets, as key wired devices can be connected directly to the U7-IW.
Wall-Mount Installation
The device is designed for wall mounting and is best suited for flush installation on an electrical box. The package includes a universal mounting plate that fits electrical boxes with various hole spacings. It can also be mounted directly on the wall, but this requires a sufficiently wide opening to accommodate the rear-facing port.


Application
The U7 In-Wall is ideal for office environments, where it serves as both a Wi-Fi access point and an RJ45 network outlet. The PoE output allows for connecting and powering other devices, such as a VoIP phone or an IP camera. This product provides a 2.5G Ethernet wired connection, offering significantly higher bandwidth than standard 1G solutions.\
