Both devices are active and require power at the input; they are equipped with fast Ethernet ports (10/100 Mb/s). The maximum transmission range is approximately 300 meters for 100 Mb/s throughput and up to 800 meters for 10 Mb/s. It's important to note that range and throughput largely depend on the quality of the cable used. This product is well-suited for many applications, allowing you to transmit data using a 2-wire cable, a single pair in a damaged Ethernet cable section, or even a telephone cable. The device supports PoE+ or passive PoE at the input. You can also power it using a standard power supply via a DC terminal (input voltage: 12–56 V DC).

PoE transmission kit over 2 wires

The offered product is a kit that enables Ethernet transmission using any two conductors of a cable. You can use any 2-wire cable, a single twisted pair from an Ethernet cable (e.g., in case of damage), or a telephone cable. Both data and power are transmitted via the two wires. The ETH-2wire-A-SET features fast Ethernet ports, so the maximum throughput is 100 Mb/s.

Active device

The device requires a power supply to operate. By default, it should be connected to a PoE port with available power, but this is not mandatory. Power can also be supplied via the DC terminal, with an input voltage range of 12–56 V DC. If you want to use PoE output, the input voltage must be above 44 V DC.

Range up to 800 m

The maximum transmission range is 300 m at 100 Mb/s throughput or 800 m at 10 Mb/s throughput. The distances are specified for a single pair of UTP cable conductors and may vary depending on the type of cable used. Transmission speed is selected automatically based on connection stability.
