Descripción

Ubiquiti UXG-Fiber is a gateway designed for use in UniFi networks. It functions as a router and is equipped with 2 SFP+ slots (10 Gbps), 1 10G Ethernet port, and 4 2.5G Ethernet ports. It can simultaneously support up to 6 WAN ports and offers load balancing between individual WANs (Multi-WAN Load Balancing). By default, one of the SFP+ slots and the 10G Ethernet port are set as WAN ports, but this configuration can be changed through the software interface. Additionally, the last 2.5G Ethernet port features a PoE+ power output (802.3at, maximum power 30 W). The Gateway Fiber supports OSPF, advanced QoS functionality, and advanced NAT configuration – including SNAT, DNAT, Masquerade, NAT Pooling, and 1-to-1 NAT. IDS/IPS throughput is 5 Gbps, ensuring smooth network performance. It also includes other useful features such as an advanced firewall and ad blocking. An important advantage is the ability to use SD-WAN or Site-to-Site VPN to connect with another location, which is especially beneficial for companies operating across multiple sites. The device can also function as a standard VPN server or client, with a list of supported protocols available in the specifications. The UXG-Fiber has a compact desktop enclosure and comes with a 54 V DC / 1.1 A power supply. The maximum power consumption of the device itself (excluding PoE) is 25 W.

UniFi Gateway

The offered product is a Gateway designed to operate within the UniFi system. It functions as a router within the network, supports OSPF, and offers advanced NAT features such as SNAT, DNAT, Masquerade, NAT Pooling, and 1-to-1 NAT. Its IDS/IPS performance reaches 5 Gbps. It stands out with advanced security features, including a firewall, traffic identification, and ad blocking. A key advantage is support for SD-WAN and Site-to-Site VPN, which enables secure connections between multiple locations — a highly valuable feature for companies with several branches. Additionally, the gateway supports both VPN server and client functionality, with a complete list of supported standards available in the specifications.

In most basic UniFi networks, the gateway is supported by an appropriate Cloud Key, UniFi server, or UniFi hosting, depending on specific requirements.

2 SFP+ Slots, 1 10G Ethernet Port, 4 2.5G Ethernet Ports

The device is equipped with 2 SFP+ slots (10 Gbps), 1 10G Ethernet port, and 4 2.5G Ethernet ports. You can use up to 6 WAN ports simultaneously, and the UXG-Fiber supports load balancing across WAN ports (Multi-WAN Load Balancing). By default, one SFP+ slot and the 10G Ethernet port are configured as WAN ports. An additional benefit is the PoE+ (802.3at) power output on the last 2.5G Ethernet port, allowing you to directly connect an access point or another device to the gateway. The UXG-Fiber also supports internet failover using mobile transmission — to use this feature, you need to purchase an additional device: UniFi LTE Backup.

Compact Desktop Enclosure

The UXG-Fiber features a compact desktop enclosure and weighs only 605 g. The package includes an external power adapter rated at 54 V DC and 1.1 A. The maximum power consumption of the Gateway Fiber itself is 25 W, and this increases if you utilize the PoE power output.

Use Case

Thanks to its high performance and supported throughput, the UXG-Fiber fits well into various types of networks. Its primary use is in business environments, where you need to connect one branch to another or link a branch to the main network’s resources. With 2.5G Ethernet ports, the device is fully prepared to meet the demands of modern networks based on 2.5 Gbps bandwidth and utilizing Wi-Fi 7.
