The device is part of the innovative Lite series   by  Dahua , which enables smooth image recording from places and objects covered by 24-hour monitoring, ensuring reliable identification and a high level of security for both people and the protected property.

The DH-IPC-HFW2231S-S-S2 camera   is equipped with a 1 / 2.8 "2MP Progressive Scan CMOS image sensor , which allows you to record video recordings with a maximum resolution of 2Mpx . The sensitivity in Starlight technology and available correction functions, including WDR, 3DNR, ensure somehow obtained an excellent image. Modern compression system  H.265 + makes the signal transmitted by the camera takes up less space on the recording medium (eg. HDD), which translates into effective protection and a longer data retention time. In addition, prime  camera lens 2.8 mm enables accurate recording of the observed scene, and the built-in infrared illuminator with a range of  30m guarantees round-the-clock monitoring with particularity and legibility of the recordings obtained. Intuitive menu navigation

Management, programming of settings and operation of the DH-IPC-HFW2231S-S-S2 megapixel IP camera is carried out using a clear and transparent device management program (WEB server), which is available from the level of a web browser. Using the intuitive menu of the program, it is possible not only to test cameras and view the recorded image on a current basis, but also to set basic and advanced device parameters.

Starlight camera
Dahua Starlight is a technology designed for use in difficult environmental conditions, even with minimal lighting. In extreme low light conditions  , Starlight technology  is able to provide color images in almost total darkness.

Sharp and clear image

Noise reduction system - 3D NR
The noise reduction system allows to maintain the clarity of the image in the situation of changing signal strength levels. In practice, this function protects recordings against the so-called smudging effect and allows you to keep detailed and crystal clear videos.

Extended dynamic range - WDR
The WDR function allows you to get a clear and detailed image, thanks to the skillful elimination of both too bright and dark parts of the recording. Thanks to the WDR system, it is possible to maintain the legibility of the entire monitoring in places with different levels of illumination of the observed scene.

Smart IR function
The Smart IR function allows you to change basic image parameters such as exposure, contrast and brightness. The signal processor analyzes the image on an ongoing basis and reduces the power of the IR illuminator immediately upon detection of overexposure. Thus, the image becomes clearer and the highlights disappear.

Back Light Compensation - BLC
This function allows you to eliminate the effect that occurs when the camera is directed towards a strong light source, i.e. when the foreground becomes dark and unreadable. Compensation is about brightening the foreground, unfortunately also at the expense of the background, which also becomes brighter. Generally, the function improves the picture quality.

High light compensation - HLC
The algorithm detects points in the image that are strongly illuminated and then masks them for effective observation. HLC mode is extremely useful for observing underground parking lots. It allows you to read license plate numbers, which are obscured by "bright spots" from the headlights.

Region of interest - RoI
The Region of Interest system allows you to increase the quality of the recorded image in the fragments of the observed scene indicated by the user. Thanks to the ROI function, it is possible to capture recordings economically and save the total size of the video files while maintaining the original image quality in the priority areas.

Privacy masks

Effective video monitoring systems also include intelligent systems of selective video recording. Using the properties of the  camera with the privacy zone function, it  will be possible to individually adjust the way the observation system operates to the spatial specificity and security requirements of a specific installation site. Thanks to the system of privacy masks, it is possible to freely determine the fragments of the image that will be excluded from the video surveillance.

Intelligent image analysis functions - IVS

A very big advantage of the DH-IPC-HFW2231S-S-S2 camera  is the support of functions related to  intelligent analysis of the recorded image . It includes virtual line crossing systems   and  intruder detection  in the field of view. Appropriate configuration of the presented functions results in constant or temporary analysis of the recorded image and enables very quick capture of undesirable events.

Monitoring at night
The tube camera is equipped  with an infrared illuminator with a working range of up to 30 meters . The strong LED diode system generates a strong beam of infrared light illuminating the monitoring area at night.

Fixed lens
The camera also has a fixed lens 2.8mm , which allows for instant integration into monitoring structures without the need for additional assembly steps related to the calibration of the optical system of the device.

Memory card slot
The camera is also equipped with a microSD card slot with a maximum capacity of  256 GB . The card is used as a backup memory space that can be used to create local copies of recordings.

IP67 tightness class
The high quality of the housing confirms that the device has been given the  IP67 protection class . The camera is resistant to possible interference of solids and maintains its functionality even in the event of a temporary contact with a strong stream of water.

H.265 compression
The latest H.265 compression   delivers  40-50% savings in bandwidth and memory. H265 encoding   uses advanced technology to improve the ratio between stream size and image quality. The H.265 compression format is only supported  natively within one manufacturer.

Smart H.265 + codec
The H.265 + smart codec ensures high image quality without burdening the network. This codec is optimized for H.265. H.265 + encoding  has dynamic GOP, dynamic ROI, flexible framing and intelligent noise reduction. Provides savings in bandwidth and disk space up to 70% compared to the H.265 standard.

Twisted-pair power supply - PoE
Due to the functionality of the Power over Ethernet system  , the  camera receives real support for the simultaneous transmission of data packets and 48V DC power.
